Aristotle is credited with having been the first philosopher to analyze the elements of logical reasoning and, in fact, he is the foundation for all logical conceptions in the Western World ever since. In his <em>Analytics</em>, Aristotle explores the different types of syllogisms that make up a logical argument. All of his philosophy was aimed (even in his most speculative deliveries), to be founded on logical principles.
