Some say that this real estate deal was the best thing Jefferson ever accomplished because it doubled the size of the country an

d secured ownership of New Orleans. At the time of the deal, though, many Americans believed the opposite was true about the deal. Those against the deal believed that the purchase of the Louisiana Territory was illegal because the Constitution did not give Jefferson the right to purchase land for the U.S. Technically, these detractors were correct. Jefferson was even aware of the fact that he did not have the right to buy land. Despite knowing that the law was technically not on his side in the deal, Jefferson decided to go ahead with the deal. He thought that passing up a deal like that would be ludicrous.

Answer:

Some the Louisiana Purchase was the best thing Jefferson ever accomplished because of the sheer amount of land the U.S gained for such an infinitesimal price in comparison.

Explanation:

<em>(I'm not sure of the answer choices, but I can still try to help.)</em>

<em />

The Louisiana Purchase is an infamous deal made by Thomas Jefferson that doubled the size of the United States. Part, if not all, of some states were founded from this decision. The people that believe the Louisiana Purchase was so great was because doubling the country by buying land for only three cents per acre was one of the greatest deals in history.

Therefore, the immense amount of land gained for such a small price (in comparison), is the reason some believed that the Louisiana Purchase was the best thing Jefferson ever accomplished.

<em>You can also check the first sentence of the paragraph you inserted, which sums up what I just explained. The sentence reads: "</em><em>Some say that this real estate deal was the best thing Jefferson ever accomplished because it doubled the size of the country and secured ownership of New Orleans.</em><em>"</em>

compare the merlin in le morte d Arthur to the merlyn in once and the future king: which merlin is more a believable character u
Anettt [7]
Thomas Malory’s depiction of Merlin in Le Morte d’Arthur was that of a cold, distinguished sage, providing counsel to Arthur that, at times, appears morally difficult to follow. An example was in his counselling Arthur to send away newborn baby boys adrift at sea to risk perishing.T. H. White’s depiction of Merlyn in The One and Future King shows him as a bumbling wise man who lives backwards through time and eventually becomes younger. This opened the character to have more human traits, making him more relatable to readers.
