The correct answer is B) quartering of soldiers.

The American colonial experience in which British troops were allowed to take over homes for their use was commonly known as quartering of soldiers.

We are talking about what was known as the Quartering Acts in colonial America. The English crown required American colonists to give British troops food and housing. The first Quartering Act was passed in 1765 and the second Quartering Act in 1774. Of course, these acts infuriated the American people in the colonies and were one of the causes that initiated the Revolutionary War of Independence.

Why president lincoln was opposed to the wade-davis bill?
Darya [45]
Abraham Lincoln vetoed the Wade-Davis Bill of 1864 because he felt it imposed a harsh punishment on the Confederate states that rebelled from the Union. Radical Republicans proposed the bill to punish the Southern states during the Reconstruction phase after the Civil War ended.
