If the two angles form a linear pair, the sum of the angles is 180 degrees.

If the small angle is one-third of the other, then the total is 1+1/3=4/3 of the larger angle.

By proportion,

L+L/3=4L/3=180

L=180*3/4=135 degrees

Smaller angle = L/3=45 degrees

Check: L+L/3=135+45=180 degrees, ok

City planners are creating a 3-dimenslonal model of a city park to find the best placement for a new tennis court the city park
xxTIMURxx [149]

The dimension of the tennis court in the scaled model is 0.6 ft long and 0.3 ft wide.

Given, a rectangular plot of land that is 1,500 ft long and 600 ft wide the scale model of the park measures 7.5 ft x 3 ft.

The actual tennis court must be 120 ft long and 60 ft wide, then we need to find the dimensions of the tennis court in the scale model.

<h3>What is a scaled model?</h3>

A scale model is a physical model which is geometrically similar to an object. Scale models are generally smaller than large prototypes such as vehicles, buildings, or people.

First, divide the original measurements by the scaled ones. We get

1500 ft. ÷7.5 ft = 200

600 ft. ÷ 3 ft. = 200

Now, divide tennis courts actual dimensions by 200. That is

120 ft. ÷ 200 = 0.6 ft

60 ft. ÷ 200 =  0.3 ft

Therefore, the dimension of the tennis court in the scaled model is 0.6 ft long and 0.3 ft wide.

How to graph and get the chart for 2x+y=1
Paha777 [63]
The first ting you would do is to set everything equal to y. so in this case y=1-2x (i subtracted 2x from both sides). then you can graph it like a normal equation with a slope of -2 and a y-intercept of +1. to get the chart (i assume that that is the same as a table) all you do is plug in values of x and solve for y or vice versa. i would show you an exaple but it would be a bit tricky on this site.

(4x + 17)<br> What is the measure of AC ?<br> Enter your answer in the box.<br> (4x – 3.5)
Natasha2012 [34]

Answer: AC=41\°

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3> The complete exercise is attached.</h3>

For this exercise it is important to remember that, by definition, if an angle formed by two intersecting chords has its vertex on a circle, this is called an "Inscribed angle".

The following formula is used to calculate the measure of an Inscribed angle:

Inscribed\ angle = \frac{1}{2}\ Intercepted\ Arc

You can identify in the figure that:

Inscribed\ angle=ABC=(4x -3.5)\\\\Intercepted\ Arc=AC=(4x + 17)

Then you can substitute values into the formula and solve for "x":

(4x -3.5)= \frac{1}{2}(4x + 17)\\\\8x-7=4x+17\\\\4x=24\\\\x=6

Then, AC is:

AC=(4(6)+ 17)\\\\AC=24+17\\\\AC=41\°
