Answer:

2 {x}^{2}  - 5x - 12 = 0 \\ 2 {x}^{2}  - 8x + 3x - 12 = 0 \\ 2x(x - 4)3(x - 4) = 0 \\ \\  2x + 3 = 0 \\ 2x = 0 - 3 \\  \frac{2x }{2}  =  \frac{ - 3}{2}  \\ x =  \frac{ - 3}{2}  \\  \\ x - 4 = 0 \\ x = 0 + 4 \\ x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

2 {x}^{2}  - 5x - 12

2 {x}^{2}   - 8x  + 3x - 12

2x(x - 4) + 3(x - 4)

2x  + 3 = 0 \:  \: x - 4 = 0

x =  \frac{ - 3}{2}  \:  \: x =4

Our environment is very sensitive to the amount of ozone in the upper atmosphere. The level of ozone normally found is 5.5 parts
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

Give

null hypothesis: H0 = 5.5

alternative hypothesis: Ha different 5.5

standard error = 1 / (31) 1/2= 0.1796

we deduce that:

t stat = (5.2-5.5) /0.1796 = -1.67033

p-value = 0.105

the null hypothesis cannot be rejected because the value of p is greater

Is 2 x+6-x=1/3(3x+18) a one solution ,no solution ,or an infinite numbers of solutions
nalin [4]
To determine this, the first thing we should do is simplify the expression. As usual, bring like terms to either side of the "=" and then simplify.
2x + 6 - x = 1/3 (3x + 18)
x + 6 = 1/3 (3x + 18)
x + 6 = 1/3 (3x) + 1/3(18)
x + 6 = x + 6

We can already see that both sides have the same expression "x+6". Now, if you try to simplify any further, you will get 0=0. That means that for any value of x, the expression will simplify to 0=0. Because 0=0 is a true statement, for every value of x, the expression will be true. Therefore, there are an infinite number of solutions.

Hope this helped!! :D

What is the equation of the line that is perpendicular to Y= -2/3X+4 and that passes through (-2,-2)?
ratelena [41]

Answer:

y = \frac{3}{2}x + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

-2 = 1½[-2] + b

-3

1 = b

y = 1½x + 1

** 1½ = 3⁄2
