(base times height) multiplyed by 2, Then multiply it by 4. Next you find the area of the base, then when you figured it out, add it to what you did in the beggining

Ron Finley is a gardener who decided a few years ago to plant several gardens in South Central Los Angeles. He wants his next ga
yaroslaw [1]

Well, we can be sure that whatever the width is, we can call it ' W '. Then, from information in the question, the length of the garden is ' 3W '.

Now, the perimeter of a rectangle is (length + width + length + width). Using the fancy algebra labels I just gave them, that's (3W + W + 3W + W). And now I can go through that, add up all the Ws, and get a total of 8W for the perimeter.

But he question tells us that the perimeter is 24 yards, so 8W = 24 yds.

Divide each side of that equation by 8, and we discover that W = 3 yds. And if THAT's true, then 3W = 9 yds. Bada bing ! We have the dimensions of the garden.

It's 3 yards wide and 9 yards long.

From stations A and B, the distance between which is 910 mi,
Firdavs [7]

Answer:

The slowest train goes at 86 mph and the fastest train goes at 96 mph.

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance and Speed

Assume x is the speed of the slowest train, therefore the speed of the fastest train is x+10.

The distance is calculated as:

d = vt

Where v is the speed and t is the time.

The distance traveled by each train in 5 hours is:

Slowest: 5x

Fastest: 5(x+10)

The sum of both distances is 910 miles:

5x + 5(x + 10) = 910

Operating:

5x + 5x + 50 = 910

10x = 910 - 50 = 860

x = 860/10

x = 86

The slowest train goes at 86 mph and the fastest train goes at 96 mph.

How can you use geometry figures to solve real world problems
mash [69]
In engineering its got to be used when making buildings and stuff like that. Even when making computers or cars, you got to make parts. Shapes and measurements are huge parts of that. Its also important for model designs. Geometry is used everywhere. Lets say you are trying to figure out the logo sign for a new business you are setting up in town. You are trying to figure out the size, shape, and where to put it on the building. Anything involving creation, such as fashion, technology, engineering, etc., uses geometry as a guide in the process of making something. I don't know if this was the answer you were looking for, but this was my understanding of the question. Hopefully this helps.
