Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

C) 22

this is because 86 divided by 4 is 21.5 so u would round it up making it 22

The answer is C)22.
If each package has 4, you divide 86 by 4 and get 21.5. You round up since you’ll need 2 out of the 4 bulbs in the last package.

First, notice that we are given the y-intercept, (0, 5), and the slope, m = 7.

We plug into slope-intercept form y=mx+b to get y=7x+5.

Graph the line with y-intercept 5 and slope 1/4?
ser-zykov [4K]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

<em>(Check the attached image).</em>

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

<h3>1. Identify the given information.</h3>

a. We have the slope of the line, 1/4.

b. We also have a point of said line, because when the question states "y-intercept 5..." it's telling us that the lines touches the y intercept on the value y= 5, and this only happens when x= 0. Hence, a given point is (0, 5).

• Formula for constructing linear equations.

Formula: y-y_{1} =m(x-x_{1} ); where m is the slope of the function; x1 is the x value of a point the function passes through, and y1 is the y value of a point the function passes through.

<h3>2. Substitute in the formula and calculate the equation of the line.</h3>

y-(5) =(\frac{1}{4} )(x-(0) )\\ \\y-5=\frac{1}{4} x\\ \\y=\frac{1}{4} x+5

<h3>3. Graph the line.</h3>

The Aluminum Association reports that the average American uses 56.8 pounds of aluminum in a year. A random sample of 50 househo
nalin [4]

Answer:

\mu = 56.8

\sigma = 12.1

A)what is the probability that the sample mean will be More than 58 pounds

P(x>58)

Formula : Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values :

Z=\frac{58-56.8}{12.1}

Z=0.09917

refer the z table

P(x<58)=0.5359

P(X>58)=1-P(x<58)=1-0.5359=0.4641

Hence the probability that the sample mean will be More than 58 pounds is 0.4641

B)what is the probability that the sample mean will be More than 57 pounds

P(x>57)

Formula : Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values :

Z=\frac{57-56.8}{12.1}

Z=0.0165

refer the z table

P(x<57)=0.5040

P(X>57)=1-P(x<57)=1-0.5040=0.496

Hence the probability that the sample mean will be More than 57 pounds is 0.496

C)what is the probability that the sample mean will be Between 55 and 57 pound

Formula : Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values :

Z=\frac{57-56.8}{12.1}

Z=0.0165

refer the z table

P(x<57)=0.5040

Formula : Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values :

Z=\frac{55-56.8}{12.1}

Z=-0.1487

refer the z table

P(x<55)=0.4443

P(55<x<57)=P9x<57)-P(x<55) =0.5040-0.4443=0.0597

Hence the probability that the sample mean will be Between 55 and 57 pounds is 0.0597

D)what is the probability that the sample mean will be Less than 53 pounds

Formula : Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values :

Z=\frac{53-56.8}{12.1}

Z=−0.314

refer the z table

P(x<53)=0.3783

The probability that the sample mean will be Less than 53 pounds is 0.3783

E)what is the probability that the sample mean will be Less than 48 pounds

Formula : Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

Substitute the values :

Z=\frac{48-56.8}{12.1}

Z=−0.727

refer the z table

P(x<48)=0.2358

The probability that the sample mean will be Less than 48 pounds is 0.2358

Explain how to got the answers
photoshop1234 [79]

7 question a.)= $5.82

7 question b.)= 0.65 + 0.65 + 0.65 + 1.29 + 1.29 + 1.29 and the second way is

3. 87 + 1.95 = $5.82

8 question Answers are = A.) and C.)

A.) because addition doesn't matter when you switch because either way, your still combining to get your answer. for example 5+3=8  3+5=8

B.) multiplication is the same with addition for example 7 x 6=42 6 x 7=42

for question 9 you should plot a dot a number 3

for 10 you should plot a dot at 2, 3, 4 and 5 because x>1 means every number higher than 1

11 question  table: -2, +4, +7, -4, +5

12+4= 2+7=9-4=5+5=10

10 divided by 5 = 2 your answer is 2

this is the answer because mean is to add up all the number and divide by the number of numbers. in this case, when i added them all up i got 10. and there were 5 number so i divide that by 5 and 10 divided by 5 is 2.

i couldn't really see the 11 question part B.) too well, but i answered everything else. i hope this helps!
