When a store has a video camera and they are robbed, they can use the evidence in the video camera to catch the robber. In this case they can get money back and send that person to jail to prevent future robberies of other people and themselves. But, without the video camera you have no evidence of who your robber was. This causes you to ony lose money and put you at higher risk for being robbed again if the perosn knows they can easily not be caught.
