How is Miss Maudie able to take an active interest in Jem and Scout after losing everything she owned?
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

After her house burned down, Miss Maudie was able to view it in a positive way. She says how now she can have a smaller house and a bigger yard as she always wanted. This positive outlook shows how she values friendships, like with Jem and Scout, and the fact that no one got hurt, and is able to move past the situation.

(I hope this helps)

Examine lines 16 through 18 and select the answer that describes the poetic technique used there.
MArishka [77]
I am not sure which poem you are referring to here, but one poetical technique is called enjambment. This occurs when a line continues to the next line without a pause. Even if there is a stanza break in between, the lines are meant to be read continuously. For example, consider these lines from a poem by William Wordsworth called Beauteous Evening: "The holy time is quiet as a Nun Breathless with adoration; the broad sun Is sinking down in its tranquility" Here, Wordsworth is not intending that you pause after you read "Nun" or "sun." He wants you to read these lines as a continuous sentence or thought. Hope this helps.
