Explain the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes?

The difference between type 1 and type 2- diabetes is that type 1 is mainly found in infants and also known as insulin dependent diabetes or juvenile onset diabetes and type 2-diabetes is mainly found in adults and also known as non-insulin dependent diabetes.

Also the type one diabetes is known to be autoimmune as it targets its own body cell that is beta cells of pancreas therefore affecting insulin production. While the type two diabetes is mainly caused by the non-usability of the insulin present in the blood therefore rising the blood sugar level.

Type 1-diabetes is mainly caused due to attacking of pancreas with antibodies and the damages pancreas don’t make insulin as the formation of beta cells are failed that normally produces insulin.

Type 2-diabetes is milder type of diabetes which can still cause major harm to the body health in this type of diabetes the pancreas usually made insulin but in every less amount which is not enough and cells are resistant to it.

Type 1 symptoms include:

Irritability, mood changes, weight loss, polyphagia, polydipsia, polyuria, etc.

Type 2 symptoms include:

Most of the symptoms of type 2 diabetes mimics type 1-diabetes but, polyphagia, polydipsia, polyuria are most prominent.

There is no known treatment for type 1 as it is an autoimmune disorder but administration of insulin injection helps in lowering the blood sugar level.

Type 2-diabetes cannot be cured but can be treated with effective drugs and administration of insulin injection also helps.
