The correct answer is D. He thought the colonies should be taxed to pay for their defense.

Explanation:

George Grenville was the Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1763 to 1765 and an important politician in this country for most of his life. Additionally, George Grenville is known for creating the Stamp Act in 1765 that imposed taxes on the American colonies. This along with other similar acts were personally approved by Grenville who believed it was fair to tax colonies because Great Britain had provided defense to the colonies during the French and Indian War and therefore taxes were the way colonies paid for their defense. Therefore George Grenville "though the colonies should be taxed to pay for their defense".

Rudik [331]
President Truman had the CIA train over 3000 Cuban exiles to overthrow Castro. Before the invasion, Kennedy took over office and approved it. The invasion failed miserably. In under 90 hours, over 2000 of the exiles were captured and the rest were killed. Kennedy denied to give them air support because he didn't want any US soldiers involved because it would start a war with Cuba and possibly provoke the Soviet Union. President Kennedy had the captured exiles released for a price of food and resources.

5. Include 1 quote from either the Federalist or Anti-Federalist Papers and explain how it supports your position on ratificatio
In-s [12.5K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Anti-Federalist Papers and explain how it supports your position on the ratification of the Constitution.

I am going to choose a quote from Anti-Federalist No. 3, "New Constitution Creates a National Government, Will not Abate Foreign Influence, Dangers of Civil War and Despotism," written by John Francis Mercer. It was published in the Maryland Gazette on March 7, 1788.

This is the quote: "In a national government, unless cautiously and fortunately administered, the disputes will be the deeprooted differences of interest, where part of the empire must be injured by the operation of general law."

That is why antideferalists heavily opposed the creation of a strong central government, as was the intention of Federalists such as Jhon Jay and Alexander Hamilton. I agree with antifederalists like Thomas Jefferson, who believed in a simpler form of government, not despotic, that granted rights to the citizens. These rights were established in the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution of the United States, drafted by federalist James Madison.
