The key evolutionary development of animals seen for the first time in sponges is that of
Digiron [165]
The key evolutionary development of animals seen for the first time in sponges is that of Multicellularity.    A Multicellular organism has a longer lifespan than an unicellular organism and since it has multiple cells, it can perform more functions.  Sponges do not have distinct circulatory, respiratory, digestive, and excretory systems – instead the water flow system  supports all these functions.

Which of the following sequences is correct for the downhill movement of electrons during cellular respiration? A. glucose – cit
Volgvan

Answer:

B. glucose – NADH – electron transport – O2

Explanation:

This is the sequence  from glycolysis in which  glucose molecules are split down to pyruvate, to oxidative phosphorylation.

During this process the electrons are released from glucose  molecule as it is oxidised multiple times as pyruvate, and other molecules formed subsequently in Kreb's cycle, until the oxidative phosphorylation is reached .

The makes the  carrier molecules to be reduced. Thus NAD→NADH,FAD→FADH .

The electrons from above are  transferred in hydrogen atoms  to matrix by these co-enzymes.Where the H is split to electrons  and protons.

The electrons for the ETC, produce the PMF for transporting  protons into the intramembrane space.

The concentration of protons generated the electrochemical gradients  which is needed to produce energy for for phosphorylation of ADP with Pi to form ATP by ATpase synthase.

The electrons moves as chain, and this is finally accepted by oxygen as the final electron acceptor.

In peas, the color yellow (Y) is dominant to the color green (). Use a Punnett square to determine the cross of two
inysia [295]
If both parents are heterozygous (Yy), there is a 75% chance that any one of their offspring will have a widow's peak.

Results - 3 yellow colored and 1 green colored. 75% - 25%.

What results when there is very heavy competition between two species??
BlackZzzverrR [31]
When there is heavy competition between two species these results may surface. First, even if there is just a little advantage of one species, the tendency is the best competitors will dominate the other. This may lead to the extinction of the weaker species. Another result is, competition may cause the traits of the competing species to evolve. This result is called character displacement. This is what happens when for instance the species live in the same area and have the same and common niche; the characteristics of the species evolve in order for them to minimize niche overlap. This is also for them not to have competitive exclusion. To add to that, when there is heavy competition, the finite resources will not be enough for all competitors who have all access to the resources. This may lead to very low survival rates.
