5x + 2y = 15
y = -3x - 2......so sub in -3x - 2 in for y in the other equation

5x + 2(-3x - 2) = 15
5x - 6x - 4 = 15
5x - 6x = 15 + 4
-x = 19
x = -19

y = -3x - 2
y = -3(-19) - 2
y = 57 - 2
y = 55

so ur solution is (-19,55)

Answer:

Picture 1: b

Picture 2: d

Picture 3: c

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there,

For Picture 1, to solve for an inverse function, just simply solve for x. Since the closest you can get is arccos(πx)=2y+6, you just

solve for cosine as a function: cos(2y+6)=πx and solving for x:

x= (1/π)cos(2y+6)    but since variable choice is arbitrary, you can now redefine y and x:

y= (1/π)cos(2x+6)

For Picture 2, tanx is equivalent to sinx/cosx and cscx is just the reciprocal of sinx. So, it becomes:

\frac{sinx}{cosx} *\frac{1}{sinx} =\frac{1}{cosx} =cscx

We have already been giving the cosine value of 2, and its inverse is thus 1/2.

For Picture 3, I would recommend revisiting polar coordinates.

Polar coordinates are in the form (r, θ).

r = \sqrt{x^{2} +y^{2} } }   and  θ =arctan(\frac{y}{x}) . Recognize there are two possible radii, depending on what side of the circle you start from!

thanks,

Andre is paid $12 per hour at his caddying job and $9.50 per hour working at a local fast food restaurant. He would like to keep
Fynjy0 [20]

The equation that can be used to model this scenario is 12x + 9.5y ≥ 275 and x + y ≤ 25

Let x represents the number of hours Andre works at his caddying job and y represents the number of hours he works at the restaurant.

Since he earn at least $275.00 a week, hence:

12x + 9.5y ≥ 275   (1)

Also, he can work no more than 25 hours, hence:

x + y ≤ 25   (2)

Therefore the equation that can be used to model this scenario is 12x + 9.5y ≥ 275 and x + y ≤ 25

The annual tuition at a public two-year college last year was $3,200. For the new school year, Elizabeth's first year in college
FrozenT [24]

Answer: The correct answer is $267

Step-by-step explanation:

this is a trick question they give you the price of her fist year of college and then they say it is increasing by %5 but the question is "what is the minimum amount Elizabeth should have saved monthly during the PREVIOUS year?'' because we are trying to find the monthly rate paid LAST YEAR before the price rose by %5 the answer is simply, $3,200/12 = 266.6 rounded to the nearest tenth and you get 267
