Each bag of soil covers 20 square yards. How many bags should the farmer purchase?

Well, using the equation
(top+bottom)/2*height
you get 54, and like in the picture, divide that by two to get 27
the farmer should buy two bags of corn, and two bags of soy, and will have quite a bit left over
