You walk 2/3 miles to a shoe store. Then you walk another 1/8 miles to a music store. How many miles have you walked in all? Write your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

Answer:

19/24 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of miles walked to the shoe store = 2/3 miles

Number of miles walked to the music store = 1/8 miles

Total many miles have you walked in all = Number of miles walked to the shoe store + Number of miles walked to the music store

= 2/3 miles + 1/8 miles

Find Lowest Common Multiple = 24

= 2 × 8 + 1 × 3/24

= 16 + 3/24

= 19/24 miles

Use the GCF and the Distributive Property to<br> rewrite the following expression:<br> 24 +30
puteri [66]

Answer:

B = 6(4 + 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

GCF = The greatest common factor, example: GCF of 12 and 16 = 12 is divisible by all of these numbers. The factors for 16 are 1, 2, 4, 8, 16. The two numbers (12 and 16) share common factors (1, 2, 4). The greatest of these is 4 and that is the greatest common factor.

Distributive property = allows us to multiply the number by a group of numbers, which are added together. The distributive property is given by: a(b+c) = ab + ac

The Greatest Common Factor of 24 and 30 is 6 because it is the largest number they have together (24 = 6*4 and 30 = 6*5)

24 divided by 6 = 4

30 divided by 6 = 5

This fits B the most: 6(4 + 5)

The answer is B, I hope this helps!

Which function in vertex form is equivalent to f(x) = x2 + x +1?
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

f(x) = x² + x + 1

To express in vertex form use the method of completing the square

add/subtract ( half the coefficient of the x- term)² to x² + x

x² + 2(\frac{1}{2})x + \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{4} + 1

= (x + \frac{1}{2})² + \frac{3}{4} → C

Determina el centro,radio y gráfica de la circunferencia:(x+2)2 + (y-3)2=121
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

La ecuación genérica para un círculo centrado en el punto (a, b), de radio R, es:

(x - a)^2 + (x - b)^2 = R^2

Entonces si miramos a nuestra ecuación:

(x + 2)^2 + (y - 3)^2 = 121

Tendremos el centro en:

(-2, 3)

el radio está dado por:

R^2 = 121

R = √121 = 11

La gráfica de esta circunferencia se puede ver en la imagen de abajo.
