All the corners of a rectangle is equal to 90 degrees. So you need to set (x-1) and (2x+10) equal to 90 and then solve for x.

(x - 1) + (2x + 10) = 90
Combine the like terms...
3x + 9 = 90
Subtract both sides by 9...
3x + 9 - 9 = 90 - 9
3x = 81
Divide both sides by 3...
3x = 81
(3x) / 3 = 81 / 3
x = 27

The dimensions of a rectangle box are consecutive integers. If the box has volume of 13,800 cubic centimeters, what are its dime
dezoksy [38]

If the dimensions were all the same number ... the box was a cube ...
then each dimension would be (the cube root of 13,800) cm.

         ∛13,800 = 23.986... (rounded)

so the place to look is around 23 .

(22 x 23 x 24)  =  12,144     <==  too small; go up one integer

(23 x 24 x 25)  =  13,800     <==  Eureka !

The consecutive integers are  23,  24,  and  25 .

Ok so I assume
28 and decreased by 12.5%

percent means partst out of 100 so
12.5%=12.5/100=0.125
first find 12.5% of 28 then subtract
0.125 times 28=3.5
decrease
28-3.5=24.5

answer is 24.5

The Community center for Watercrest has a large glass wall that looks out the lake Find The Area For the glass wall
VikaD [51]
The wall has a shape of trapezium, the area will therefore be given by:
A=1/2(a+b)*h
where a and b are the side length, h is height:
a=25, b=15, h=40
thus the area of the wall will be:
A=1/2(25+15)×40
A=1/2×40×40
A=800 ft²
Answer: Area=800 ft²
