In this question, we do not know what point of the story you are referring to. Therefore, we cannot answer in detail. However, we can still look at the character of Reverend Hale and try to understand why he behaves in this way in the play.

Reverend Hale is a pastor who is brought to Salem in order to investigate the witchcraft that seems to be taking place. He is eager to help and excited about this calling, which is what keeps him from seeing the truth. Initially, Hale is too absorbed by his faith and his work to admit that he might be wrong. However, as the play progresses, Hale realizes his mistakes and attempts to change his actions. However, at this point, it is too late to go back, as the trials are no longer in his hands.

LenaWriter [7]

Explanation:

I could not find the play that you are talking about in you question but I will try to answer it with some information that could be helpful to you.

Anne Frank did receive her diary on her thirteenth birthday but maybe it was hard for directors to show that in the play, since Anne Frank did write in her diary all of the horror situations that she was experiencing.

It was easier for them to show her diary receiving when she has entered the Secret Annex because the bookcase was considered as the entrance to the Secret Annex that was the hiding place for her and her family.

In at least 150 words, describe the setting and historical context of "I Stand Here Ironing." Explain how
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

Olsen's story takes place in the most ordinary of settings: a mother, at home, ironing. As the story develops, this generic setting starts to take on specific characteristics. It is focused on a working class home in the 1950's in America. During the Depression years, many single, working mothers struggled with a lack of social services and financial support. Looking at the mere title of this story conveys the dullness in the lives of women in america at the time. The historical context of the story sets an orthodox tone, and a basis for a stirring revolution to bring liveliness into the lives of women during the great depression.
