Answer:

Rita invited 38 people for her store opening party. She wants to calculate how many tables she needs to order, if only 5 people can sit on each table.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

We need to define a real word problem that is represented by the division problem 38÷5 = 7 remainder three in which it make sense to round the quotient up to eight.

You can assume any situation in which things are not suppose to divide in decimal or fraction.

For example

Rita invited 38 people for her store opening party. She wants to calculate how many tables she needs to order, if only 5 people can sit on each table.

Now if we divide 38 by 5 we will get 7.6

That means she needs more than 7 tables, so she need to order 8 tables so that all 38 people can sit.

Segment EF is the midsegment of trapezoid ABCD. Find the length of segment EF if segment AB is 20 and segment CD is 12.
Vika [28.1K]

Midsegment = 1/2(base1 + base2)

EF = 1/2(AB + CD)

EF = 1/2(20 + 12)

EF = 1/2(32)

EF = 16

Answer

EF = 16
