Hello fellow late night thinker!

I have no idea if this is the answer but I’ll give it my best shot.

So culture has a great influence because EVERYONE has culture, no matter who you are. It influences your life in many ways. It’s your ancestors, your family, who you are. Culture is the reason you dress the way you do and eat the way you do. Culture gives you traditions. And these are things that impact your life. So yeah, culture matters and it makes an influence on who you are.
Happy to help. Have a nice night.

How does William Waillace's name alone serve as an example of ethos in this case? What evidence do we have to support this idea?
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

A name can establish ethos with its title (ex: President or Doctor) or with its status. Like if you heard the name "John F. Kennedy" it already establishes credibility because of his position as President, and so readers already believe he is a reliable speaker. So if William Wallace was a well-known person, his name establishes credibility because people already know of him and respect him, and so believe he will be a reliable speaker.

Explanation:

I'm not sure who William Wallace is or the context, but hope this helps!

Why is analogy a powerful rhetorical device? Select all that apply.
Aliun [14]
You didn't provide the possible answers, however, analogies provide sound logic and reasoning that easily persuades because it shows that the person speaking has a general understanding of the things that are debated and can critically approach the problems.

Lesson 7 'To Kill A Mockingbird'
Degger [83]

Answer:

1. First, Boo Radley is a figure of fear and mystery for the children, representing an unknown entity that may be violent, insane, feral or otherwise wild, and vindictive. Second, Boo Radley is a frightened man when he finally appears in person, afraid to walk home by himself on a dark night.

2. An example of prejudice is when Boo Radley is excluded from society just because he is not like everyone else. He is different because he never comes out of his house. Due to this act of prejudice, the kids do not go near his house and the townspeople are led to believe that they should fear him.

3.Bob Ewell's attack on the children and the subsequent appearance of Boo Radley represents the final act of Jem's and Scout's loss of innocence. The theme of courage and cowardice is found in the scurrilous decision by Bob Ewell to kill Atticus's children and the heroic actions of Boo to protect them.
