Answer:

number of children ticket sold = 70

number of adult ticket sold = 70 × 3 = 210

number of student ticket sold = 500 - 4(70) = 500 - 280 = 220

Step-by-step explanation:

A local theater sells out their show. They sell all 500 tickets for a total of $7920 .00 .  The total number of ticket sold is 500.

let

Number of children ticket sold = a

Adult ticket sold = 3a

Student ticket sold = 500 - 3a - a = 500 - 4a

Total cost = 7920

7920 = 12(a) + 15(500 - 4a) + 18(3a)

7920 = 12a + 7500 - 60a + 54a

collect like terms

7920 = 12a - 60a + 54a + 7500

7920 - 7500 = 6a

420 = 6a

divide both sides by 6

a = 420/6

a = 70

number of children ticket sold = 70

number of adult ticket sold = 70 × 3 = 210

number of student ticket sold = 500 - 4(70) = 500 - 280 = 220

0.4b+1.3=0.4(b-5) solve equation
Ivan

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

At first sight this equation has 3 terms.  Multiply all 3 of them by 10 to remove the fractions:

4b + 13 = 4(b - 5)

Carrying out the multiplication, we get:

4b + 13 = 4b - 20

This can never be true (13 is never equal to -20), so this equation has NO SOLUTION.

Using the number line below find the
bonufazy [111]

Answer:

0.3

Step-by-step explanation:

To find this probability, we need to know the distance from point H to P and the distance from point L to K, and then the probability of a random point in HP being inside LK will be the division of the distance from L to K by the distance from H to P:

H to P: distance = 15 - 5 = 10

L to K: distance = 10 - 7 = 3

Probability: LK/HP = 3/10 = 0.3
