For similarities for modersnoa green plant cells and prokaryote cells we have topics such as: presence of genetic material in both (DNA), presence of RNA (ribonucleic acid), presence of ribosomes (protein producers), presence of cell wall and presence of a matrix fluid that is called a cytoplasm.

For differences between these two cell types we have: prokaryotic cells do not have the so-called library, a membrane that holds genetic material separate from the cytoplasm. That is, while in a prokaryote cell the genetic material is found in the cytoplasm, in the cells of modern green plants the genetic material is found in an organized nucleus. Prokaryotic cells also lack some organelles such as mitochondria and the Golgi complex, while plant cells do. Moreover, there is a difference in the cell wall composition of these cells, in prokaryotes the cell wall is composed of peptidoglycan and in plant cells it is composed of cellulose.

Thymine dimers can be repaired by Photoreactivation Repair or Nucleotide Excision Repair. - true or false?
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:True

Explanation:Basically thymine diamers are mismatched pairs (thymine binds with another thymine instead of binding with adenine) and may lead to unwanted results so the mismatching can be repaired by using two methods which are as follows :

1-the PRE enzyme activated by blue light breaks the thymine diamer and some of the surrounding bonds the strand is cut and DNA polymerase then restores the normal base pairing

2-UVR system breaks dimer creating a gap when a gap is created and the molecules appear unpaired it is filled by proof readers hence restoring normal base pairing.

Trichodesmium is a nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria. Why might this cyanobacteria be important to other organisms in nitrogen-poor
eimsori [14]
Cyanobacteria don't need oxygen to survive they produce oxygen. They where the first ever known organisms on the planet and they produced oxygen in the oceans which was absorbed by iron deposits and then once the iron had oxygen the ocean got the oxygen until it got into the atmosphere and Eukaryota bacteria evolved. So the answer would be: They convert nitrates from the water into nitrogen gas (N2) that is released into the atmosphere.
