How did their race affect the way anglos viewed mexicans?
Nezavi [6.7K]

In 1954, seventy-four years after the U.S. Supreme Court held that African Americans could not be banned from jury service by statute, and fifty-four years after it ruled that they could not be purposely excluded from venires due to their “race or color” through court, executive, or administrative action,[1] the Court found that Pete Hernandez had been denied equal protection of the laws under the Fourteenth Amendment. His constitutional rights were violated because of the de facto, systematic exclusion of Mexican Americans from the pool of potential jurors–and thus juries–in Jackson County, Texas.[2]

jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

1. Major 2. Latin America 3. Master's 4. Medicine 5. Universities

Explanation:

In Spain, the results of the exams give students a clue of what major they should follow. Most of the majors in Latin America take around 5 or 6 years. Due to the length of some majors, they might be taken as master's degrees abroad. There are some majors that take longer, such as medicine. It seems like Mexican and Colombian students tend to consider U.S universities as another option.

major -- it is a certain subject that an individual picks and it's being studied through three years until the day of graduation. Compared to it, there is minor. It's being studied for two years. Picking a major is an important decision as it will strongly affect one's future career, salary, success in college, the people we meet there, etc.

Latin America -- majors in Latin America last very long so many students decide to travel abroad and finish their studies. That way, they can finish master's degrees in other countries, and get an overall life-changing experience which will form them as young adults and prepare them for new challenges that life brings.

master's degree -- it comes from the Latin word magister. It's a very important piece of paper because it is an academic degree that a person gets when they finish university or college. A person who decides to finish master's studies should have more advanced level of knowledge, stricter discipline, they must think out of the box and solve some complex issues.

medicine -- master's degree in medicine last approximately two years. When person decides to finish master's in medicine, they would have to keep up with the hard work, as there will be many subjects they would need to pass. As a result, they will be named PhD, MD, MPH, etc.

universities -- university is an institution that provides places for studying and getting the wanted knowledge from many subjects and spheres. The university allows students to get their academic degrees once they're finished. They offer master's degrees and doctorates as well.
