Osmosis is the diffusion of water. Water tends to diffuse to the area with a higher concentration of solute. (Particles) In this case, Im assuming the fertilizer is the solute because it contains chemicals. Therefore, since water tends to diffuse to higher concentration of solute, the water in the grass will diffuse out to dilute the fertilizer on the surface of the grass. Without water, the grass will be dehydrated and shrivel up and die. Hopefully you find my answer helpful!

During the cell cycle, proteins called cyclins bind to enzymes that send signals for the cell to progress through stages of cell
Yuliya22 [10]

Uncontrolled production of cyclins will most likely result in uncontrolled division of the cell.

CELL DIVISION:

  • Cell division is a biological process that every cell undergoes to replicate themselves. It is the process by which cells are multiplied in living organisms.

  • According to this question, proteins called cyclins bind to enzymes that send signals for the cell to progress through stages of cell replication. However, at the end of the cycle, the cyclins are degraded to prevent further signaling for the cell to divide.

  • In a case whereby there is an uncontrolled production of cyclins, this will most likely result in uncontrolled division of the cell because cyclins stimulate cellular division.

When a tapeworm steals nutrients from the gut of a mammalian host, that symbiosis is called?
Umnica [9.8K]
Tapeworms are known to feed off of their hosts to complete their life cycle. This type of symbiotic relationship is called parasitism. Parasitism is defined as the type of symbiotic relationship wherein only one of the two interacting organisms benefit, at the latter organism's expense. Parasites could either be found inside or outside the host's body. Tapeworms are internal parasites.
