Osmosis is the diffusion of water. Water tends to diffuse to the area with a higher concentration of solute. (Particles) In this case, Im assuming the fertilizer is the solute because it contains chemicals. Therefore, since water tends to diffuse to higher concentration of solute, the water in the grass will diffuse out to dilute the fertilizer on the surface of the grass. Without water, the grass will be dehydrated and shrivel up and die. Hopefully you find my answer helpful!

Question : T<span>he humpback whale can be seen off the coast of Alaska during the summer months, but is found as far south as California and Hawaii during the winter. Why would the humpback whale most likely spend the summer months off the coast of Alaska?

Answer : The humpback whale likes being in the cold like all other fishes.
The humpback whale is usually found around the coast of Alaska because it is a little colder over there. Then in winter it is found around Hawaii and California because the pacific ocean cools down and is not so hot anymore!

55) Cells require which of the following to form cilia or flagella?
guapka [62]

Answer: D) A and B only

Explanation:

Centrosomes and Ribosomes are both present in the animal cell with both of them having different roles. Centrosomes have roles in cell divisions as they maintain chromosome number during the process and Ribosomes are in charge of the synthetization of proteins.

These two share a role together which is that they are both needed by the cell in order to form either cilia or flagella.
