Matthew Calbraith Perry is the one who forced the japan to do trade with america and to ensure the safe return of the American traders

  • This crew was headed by Matthew Calbraith Perry. He put the treaty with japan "the treaty of Kanagawa"  which is a deal with japan to do limited trade between America and ensure the safe return of the American traders in the Japanese waters.  
  • This treaty was held on 31st March 1854, and This is the first-ever treaty of japan with the west.
