Read this letter written by a student to the principal of a school. Which two sentences support the student's argument concernin

g the school lunch policy? Dear Principal Corte, I write to you with a concern that requires immediate attention. It is my belief that the lunch period at Mountain Vista High School is not long enough and should be lengthened. The most important reason our lunch period should be extended is so all students have a chance to eat. As it stands now, many students are unable to get through the lunch line and eat. Even if lunchroom staff members are extremely efficient and able to get everyone through the line, some students end up with only a few minutes to eat. I have spoken with the school nurse about this issue, and she says that eating too quickly is a very unhealthy habit. Consequently, some students have become so frustrated with the long lines that they have resorted to patronizing the vending machines. Everyone knows that a candy bar and a can of soda is one of the unhealthiest lunches a person can have. If the lunch period is extended, all students will make it through the lunchroom line and will be able to eat their lunch in a healthy way. In addition, the lunch period should be extended because it would give students additional time to study or finish homework. Those of us who take part in after-school activities or have jobs often don’t get home until late in the evening. Then we are usually too exhausted to put our best effort into our homework. If we had more time at lunch, many of us would complete our homework with better accuracy. I truly hope that you take my arguments under consideration, Principal Corte. Please see the attached petition with almost 2,000 signatures of students who share my opinions about extending the lunch period. Take this petition as a sign that there are many of us who are not completely happy with our experience at Mountain Vista High School. Mountain Vista High School is important to me, and I believe that its students should get the best. Extend our lunch period, and you will definitely get the best from us. Sincerely, Alexis Walters

Answer: Having “Pancakes” in third person omniscient may have been both a benefit and a hinderance to the story. In first person we get to know our main character on a deeper level. We get to know Jill’s true personality and how she views the world, with her cynical attitude and narrow focus, as well as her need for control and fear of losing it. With third-person omniscient, we may have been provided with how the other characters viewed Jill as she struggled in this situation, and how perhaps she didn’t hide her fear and anxiety as well as she thought. With Jill’s thoughts and feelings an open book to us in first person it made her relatable, made the focus on her, we may have lost some of that in third person. Her feeling could have been choppy and disjointed when we hopped from character to character. Instead of feeling suspense and anxiety with Jill, as in first person. We might have just felt it for her, we might not feel as connected to her as a character, we may have cringed and judged her more then move through the story with her.

Identify two central ideas of the poem ulysses. how has the power developed the ideas
Crank

"Ulysses" is a poem  by the Victorian poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

Two central ideas would be:

1. The importance of striving toward one's goals despite one's limitations

2. Find purpose despita of being old

Ulysses realized that he did not want to stay in his kingdom living a boring and stationary life. He brought his men to go on adventures and told them that they can still be noble despite being old.

Please tell me a story in simple word about the following title: "Pride hath a fall"
maria [59]

Answer:

The answer is Hare and the tortoise.

Explanation:

It is related that in a certain far-off forest, a haughty hare and a humble tortoise used to live rosy life. The here was swift in his pace, but the tortoise was slow in his pace. At times, it so happened when they got together the arrogant hare spared no chance to tease the tortoise for his sluggish nature. The poor tortoise always listened and kept quiet. One day the tortoise challenged the hare to run a race with him which he accepted. Both the hare and the tortoise fixed the day for the race between two extremes.

Thus, the race started and in no time the hare was out of sight due to his brisk speed. As the tortoise was moving at a snail’s pace, so he was left far behind. On the way the hare thought that the slow-moving tortoise would never reach the winning point in time, he lay down under a cool shady tree and soon he slept. On the other hand, the tortoise kept walking slowly but steadily. While the tortoise was on his way, he caught a sight of the hare enjoying a sweet sleep. The tortoise moved on with the same slow pace but with firm conviction in his success. The time passed by swiftly but stealthily for the sleepy hare. At length, the tortoise reached the top of the hill quite amazingly.

Hope this helps....

Have a nice day!!!!
