Answer:

c

Explanation:

Gas exchange. Gas exchange occurs as a result of respiration, when carbon dioxide is excreted and oxygen taken up, and photosynthesis, when oxygen is excreted and carbon dioxide is taken up. The rate of gas exchange is affected by: the area available for diffusion.

What forms volcanoes? (plate tectonics)
Tresset [83]

The Earth’s crust is composed of enormous sections of rock called tectonic plates. Tectonic plates resemble puzzle pieces which move constantly against each other. Volcanoes often form in the areas where tectonic plates make contact. The friction created between two plates by the constant movement melts the Earth’s crust, causing the rock underneath the crust to turn into magma due to the great temperatures created by friction.

The now molten hot rock or magma creates great pressure, and over time, it finds its way through the fractures in the plates. Once magma reaches the surface of the Earth, it is called lava. Approximately 1500 volcanoes around the world are considered active, and from these, nearly 90% lie in the Ring of Fire, which is a ring of oceanic volcanoes circling the Pacific Ocean.

Most divergent plate boundaries lie in the bottom of the oceans. That is why most volcanic activity occurs in the oceans. Volcanoes may be formed at subduction zones. A subduction zone is a place where two plates, one oceanic plate and one continental plate, collide. At a subduction zone, an oceanic plate submerges under a continental plate. The friction creates magma. When magma reaches the surface, then, a volcano is formed. A typical example of this type of volcano is Mount Etna on the east coast of Italy.

The human eye has three types of cone cells. damage to any one of the types of cone cells doesn’t cause total blindness because
laiz [17]
The human eye has three types of cone cells. These cones respond to the light and its varying signals wavelengths determines how the brain will perceive the lights signals and determine the colors the person sees.

Damage to any one of the types of cone cells doesn't cause total blindness because they have independent structure and are parallel to each other. Instead, damage to any one of the types of cone may cause COLOR BLINDNESS.

The entire class goes for a hike. We all pick up rocks from the valley and carry them up to Frenchman Mountain, east of Las Vega
Tasya [4]

1. gravitational potential energy

Yes, motion energy (kinetic energy) is transformed into gravitational potential energy as the rock falls.

2..When we push a huge rock, there is no transfer of muscular energy to the stationary rock. Also, there is no loss of energy because muscular energy is transferred into heat energy, which causes our body to become hot. From the conservation of energy we know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another.

3 When the rock starts rolling down the hill it has kinetic energy. When the rock gets to the bottom of the hill and stops, it is no longer in motion therefore it no longer has kinetic energy, the energy has been converted back into potential energy.

Potential energy is transformed to kinetic energy.

What is the oxygen and carbon dioxide
maw [93]

Answer:

Explanation:

The cells in our bodies need oxygen to stay alive. Carbon dioxide is made in our bodies as cells do their jobs. The lungs and respiratory system allow oxygen in the air to be taken into the body, while also letting the body get rid of carbon dioxide in the air breathed out.
