Question is Incomplete;Complete question is given below;

Shonice is making snack bags for her daughters field hockey team she puts 3/4 cup of pretzels, 1/3 cup of peanuts and 1/4 cup of chocolate chips in each bag.

a. she whats 12 snack bags. how much of each ingredient does she need?

b. shonice decides that she would like to make snacks bags for her card club. there is 15 people in the card club. how much of each ingredient will she need?

Answer:

a. Shonice will need <u>9 cups </u>of pretzels, <u>4 cups</u> of peanuts and <u>3 cups </u>of chocolate chips in 12 bags of snack bags.

b. Shonice will need  of 11\frac{1}{4}\ cups pretzels, <u>5 cups</u> of peanuts and 3\frac{3}{4}\ cups of chocolate chips in 15 people of card club.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

Amount of pretzels in each snack bag = \frac{3}{4}\ cup

Amount of peanuts in each snack bag = \frac{1}{3}\ cup

Amount of chocolate chips in each snack bag = \frac{1}{4}\ cup

Solving for part a.

Number of snack bags she wants = 12

We need to find amount of each ingredients required in 12 snack bags.

Solution:

1 bag = \frac{3}{4}\ cup of pretzels

12 bags = Amount of pretzels in 12 snack bag

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of pretzels in 12 snack bag = \frac{3}{4}\times12 = 9 \ cups

Also,

1 bag = \frac{1}{3}\ cup of peanut

12 bags = Amount of peanuts in 12 snack bag

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of peanuts in 12 snack bag = \frac{1}{3}\times12 = 4 \ cups

Also;

1 bag = \frac{1}{4}\ cup of chocolate chips

12 bags = Amount of chocolate chips in 12 snack bag

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of chocolate chips in 12 snack bag = \frac{1}{4}\times12 = 3 \ cups

Hence Shonice will need <u>9 cups </u>of pretzels, <u>4 cups</u> of peanuts and <u>3 cups </u>of chocolate chips in 12 bags of snack bags.

Solving for part b.

Number of snack bags she wants = 15

We need to find amount of each ingredients required in 15 snack bags.

Solution:

1 bag = \frac{3}{4}\ cup of pretzels

15 bags = Amount of pretzels in 15 snack bag

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of pretzels in 15 snack bag = \frac{3}{4}\times15 = \frac{45}{4} \ cups\ \ Or \ \ 11\frac{1}{4}\ cups

Also,

1 bag = \frac{1}{3}\ cup of peanut

15 bags = Amount of peanuts in 15 snack bag

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of peanuts in 15 snack bag = \frac{1}{3}\times15 = 5 \ cups

Also;

1 bag = \frac{1}{4}\ cup of chocolate chips

15 bags = Amount of chocolate chips in 15 snack bag

By using Unitary method we get;

Amount of chocolate chips in 15 snack bag = \frac{1}{4}\times15 = \frac{15}{4} \ cups \ \ Or \ \ 3\frac{3}{4}\ cups

Hence Shonice will need  of 11\frac{1}{4}\ cups pretzels, <u>5 cups</u> of peanuts and 3\frac{3}{4}\ cups of chocolate chips in 15 people of card club.

drek231 [11]

Answer:

<h2>x + 2y = 8</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form of an equation of a line:

Ax+By=C

We have:

y=-\dfrac{1}{2}x+4

Convert:

y=-\dfrac{1}{2}x+4            <em>multiply both sides by 2</em>

2y=-x+8               <em>add x to both sides</em>

x+2y=8
