The stem and leaves are green because of the presence of green pigment chlorophyll which absorbs the sunlight and performs photosynthesis.

Explanation:

The green colour of the parts pf the plant above the soil is due to the presence of chlorophyll pigment which lives in chloroplasts of the leave cell. This is characteristics of the plant.

When chloroplasts come in contact with sunlight it absorbs the light and photosynthesis takes place in which carbon dioxide and water reacts to form glucose. This is the reason plants are called primary producers.

The roots  are responsible  for absorption of water and inorganic minerals, adhering plant to the soil, stores food and transporting the nutrient and water by specialized water conducting cells as tracheal and vascular tissues, xylem.

The roots lack the chloroplast and the green pigment hence have no green colour.

Answer:

Nonrenewable energy resources, like coal, nuclear, oil, and natural gas, are available in limited supplies. This is usually due to the long time it takes for them to be replenished. Renewable resources are replenished naturally and over relatively short periods of time.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder in which a particular gene does not make protein the way that it otherwise normally would.
Nadya [2.5K]
The answer is A because genetic means it comes from your genes/parents genes so you know it’s either A or B because they both state something about your parents passing it to you. But you know it can’t be B because chloroplasts are only in plants and A says chromosomes which are in humans and relate to genes so we know it must be A.

Fittoniya [83]

Answer and Explanation:

The sensory information encoded for by the hair cells in the maculae of the saccule and utricule are:

  • the direction and strength of mechanical stimuli (polarity information)
  • Response to the head's rotational movement

Functions of the otoliths

The otoliths provide balance, movements and serve as directional indicators in vertebrates. They help higher vertebrates in sound detection.

Functions of the vestibular nuclei

  • Maintenance of equilibrium and posture
  • Modification of muscle tone
  • Relays information to the cerebral cortex
  • Directing the movements of the head and eye
  • Maintaining the line of vision
