English

Poetry can be used as many things. Poetry can express how you feel or what's on your mind or how you are feeling like the piece of poetry that I've always found my favorite was this one here. "Some people were born with stars in their life but their souls were lost at sea and other were born with tornados in their life but their eyes shined with glee." I've always been fond of that poem. If you understand it then you'll understand why poetry is used in life.

Juliette [100K]

Abominable means horrible or unthinkably bad. It is a pretty strong word. You are generally revolted by something to call it abominable.

Time cannot really be abominable. B is wrong.

No C is not the usual way to use abominable. It has moral implications.

Derek is doing a good thing if he is trying to help the homeless. Abominable is not a good thing nor does it describe a good action or thing.

The answer is A. Whoever wrote the sentence is horrified that he would treat a motorbike so badly. It is an expensive machine and must be taken care of.

What is the order of first, then, last , and next
Goshia [24]

The correct order of first, then, last and next:

Well, think about it: First means, well, first - in the beginning. So we can leave first where it's at.

Now, where do you think last would go? In the back, right?

Wait a minute! We're not finished yet!

Just switch the then and next so that they're in opposite places:

Your words should now look like this -

First, next, then, last --

I'll give you an example using all these words in a tiny paragraph.

First, Mary went to the store.

Next, when she got there, she bought a gallon of milk.

Then, she left the store.

Last, she arrived home and drank some of her milk.
