-A biome is a major, geographically extensive ecosystem, structurally characterized by its dominant life forms. Biomes are classified by the amount of rain they receive and what the temperature level is. Climate variation with special emphasis on moisture or precipitation may be used to differentitate biomes into various types.
-Terrestrial biomes are usually distinguished on the basis of the major components of their nature or climax vegetation, while aquatic biomes, especially marine ones, are often characterized by their dominant animals.
vegetation would be the plants/trees which are big parts of a biome, and climate is the weather that they in general have. However you cannot tell a biome by it's temperature!
The traits an organism displays are ultimately determined by the genes it inherited from its parents, in other words by its genotype. Animals have two copies of all their chromosomes, one from each parent.
