Use compatible numbers to find two estimates that the quotient is between 2593/6

Compatible numbers are those numbers which are close in value to the actual numbers, and they make it easy to perform mental arithmetic.

So here the dividend is 2596 and divisor is 6. So compatible number should be such that can be mentally divided by 6.

So the compatible numbers are = 2400 and 3000

So when we divide 2400 by 6 we have =

2400/6 = 400

And when we divide 3000 by 6, we have =

3000/6 = 500

What is the next number in the pattern: 3, 6, 7, 14, 15, 30, 31, 62, 63, …
Leviafan [203]
The pattern goes like this:
one number, the next number is the first number doubled, then the third number is the second number + 1, and so on.
So, you see that 3 * 2 = 6, and then 6 + 1 = 7, and so on. This means that you have to multiply 63 by 2, and get 126, and then add 1 to get 127.
So, the next number in the pattern is 126.

m∠PQR = m∠BQR + m∠PQB

We have m∠PQR = 116° and m∠BQR = 75°. Substitute:

116° = 75° + m∠PQB subtract 75° from both sides

41° = m∠PQB

Answer: m∠PQB = 41°
