The achetypal character that fits the character of Polyphemos best is B.) the villain.

The part of The Oddyssey in which Ulysses and his men encounter Polyphemos is a clear example of the archetypal characters of hero and villain. Ulysses and his men are trapped in Polyphemos cave, where he proceeds to devour them until Ulysses comes up with a plan to avenge his fallen men and free his party from the ciclop. The Greek men where just weary travellers looking for shelter and the hospitality required by the gods. But instead, Polyphemos does not follow the rules of the gods, he imprisons the Greek men and eats them. He is the villain of the story while Ulysses is the hero.
