Answer:

a mental "skimming" of the lexicon to find likely words.

Explanation:

phenomic restoration effect occurs when individuals are able to fill in missing auditory signals and appear to have heard what was said even though there were missing sounds in a speech. In this instance, individuals do not notice the missing phonemes as the brain is able to quickly fill the sound and clear the ambiguity from the speech. This is common where people are communicating in a noisy environment such as in a crowdy marketplace

What do you think is the most compelling theory about the birth of agriculture?
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

The most compelling theory is that the birth of agriculture was facilitated by the end of the last glacial period, from 15,000 to 10,000 years ago (depending on the world region), which coincides with the era when agriculture first started.

The end of the last glacial period brought a warmer climate to many areas of the world, which meant that weather and soil conditions where more favorable for the cultivation of wild plants, and the domestication of animals.

Is the size of the tip a restaurant server receives determined by behavior
Ludmilka [50]
The experimental units are what you apply the treatments to. In this experiment it would be the subjects or the customers in this situation since they will be treatment (either standing at their regular height or squatting to meet the eye level which could affect the amount of tip they give). An example of randomization can be numbering each table in the restaurant and picking them out of a hat and going to that table that you randomly chose and imposing the treatment on the customers there. Because tips depend on the income of the customers and how much they are willing to give for their meal. If not even income some people are willing to give despite how much money they make so their tips may higher than the wealthy crowd. Other factors the experimenters may not be able to control is the mood of the customers as well isn't it more likely if someone is enjoying their time to give more to the server despite the service the waiter.
