Usually, I don't become late for my work but a few months before my brother's car was broken when we decided to leave for work. He used to drop me at my workplace and then he goes to his office.

I was 3 hours late for my work and my boss cut my one day salary.

This incident influenced my work that day. Normally I come on time for my work.

And I learned from this incident that we must take care of our things, like my brother's car missed the fuel at that time and we needed to repair it costly and urgently.
