The relationship between the early beginnings of the sciences and the development of rational thinking seems obvious. However, in making this movement we are disregarding so many other societies that, in their form and measure, also used and developed rationality. Even the nomadic people already lived that way. To master fire, create tools and utensils, make weapons, invent the wheel, master agriculture, and work metals through metallurgy, rationality was sorely needed. Therefore, we cannot place the peoples before the invention of writing in the place of irrationality, as they are commonly portrayed.

It was in ancient Greece that scientific thought emerged, especially from philosophy as a way of reflecting and placing oneself in the world. It was also during this period that the system of scientific evidence was developed, basing the practice and thus establishing the beginning of science in the western world. This means that rational thinking, explanations about life, have also been guided by reason. It did not mean the abandonment of beliefs in myths and the system of religiosity, but the coexistence of the world of belief in myths and gods and the world of reason.

The purpose of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is to:
polet [3.4K]

Answer:

The correct answer is D.

Explanation:

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that ensures that parents have the right to access their children’s education records, the right to request that the records are amended if necessary, and the right to have their opinion registered  over the disclosure of personally identifiable information that may be in those records. When a student turns 18 years old or enters a tertiary or postsecondary institution regardless of their age, the rights that were previously afforded to the parent under FERPA are then transferred to the student who is now considered “eligible”.  Therefore, any information that is obtained through a third party orally or has through personal knowledge or that he or she personally observed is not protected under FERPA as this information was not derived from educational records.

Religion is important in Ancient Egypt:

Religion in Egypt was a tool which taught people to live an orderly way of life. It also taught obedience to the law and to the crown. Heka is the fundamental belief of Egyptian religion and it means enchanted magic which is all pervasive in this universe and Heka is the god of magic and medicine.

The Egyptian gods are seen as the in charge or the custodian of order. Out of chaos came an order. Egyptians believe that their gods have bestowed them with enough resources and it is the duty of the people to praise the gods as their benefactors. All natural sources are associated to a god in ancient Egypt.
