Think about this:
-Goals of the National Housing Act of 1949
-the claims made by some critics of urban renewal
-the resident's best interest

Effective—The ultimate goal was to construct affordable housing for the poor, and it did tear down many bad areas and put up new housing.
Ineffective—It did not provide enough new housing and displaced many poor people when old housing was torn down.

Why might Myanmar have difficulty attracting foreign investments?
olga nikolaevna [1]
Myanmar has a history of recent transgressions against human rights and democracy. For most of its independent development, it was ruled by a military junta. The laws make it hard or impossible for foreigners to do many things, such as own ground. If foreign investors would be approved in Myanmar (which is not at all certain), they would not be sure that their property in Myanmar would be respected and e.g. not confiscated (nationalized).

What caused the league of nations to disband
Paha777 [63]
The League of Nations, frankly, sucked.

Other factors included:
The US didn't join.
The Treaty of Versailles (joining the League was like a punishment)
Limited Variety of Nation in the League (many countries weren't invited to join)
And, the League was practically unable to negotiate disputes.
