Answer:

It can be positive because it speeds up the treatment and all the necessary documentation. It may be negative because some information may be lost between one professional and another.

Explanation:

When you need medical treatment for a problem, it will probably be attended to by many different professionals. Although the doctor is responsible for diagnosing your problem, this is probably the only contact you will have with this professional, and all necessary treatment and documentation will be performed by different professionals. The advantage of this is that you all care and treatment will be streamlined and you will be free of your problem in a shorter period of time, on the other hand, some information may be lost from one professional to another which will make it difficult to attend and solving your problems.

Management of Schizophrenia

When selecting a therapeutic environment, the main premise is to offer care in the least restrictive setting that nevertheless fits the requirements of patients and caregivers. Antipsychotic drug selection

  • The crucial decision in schizophrenia is whether to use an antipsychotic from the conventional class (FGA-first-generation antipsychotic) or from the atypical group (SGA- second-generation antipsychotic).
  • There is a little more clarification on this subject since the prior guideline was published.
  • The majority of the data regards schizophrenia, including large-scale real-world trials, suggests that there is very little difference in effectiveness, adherence, and other subjective features between the FGA and SGA groups, or between specific antipsychotics in either group.
  • Clozapine, the single exception to this pattern, appears to be more effective than any other antipsychotic in individuals with treatment resistance.
