Melchizedek and the king of Sodom presented a marked contrast as they both descended into the king's dale in Genesis 14:17-18. M
denpristay [2]

Answer:Melchizedek and the king of Sodom presented a marked contrast as they both descended into the king's dale in Genesis 14:17-18. Melchizedek was a mature believer; he was a king and a priest. He went down to give Abram communion and to help Abram keep his eyes firmly fixed on the Most High God, the possessor of heaven and earth, the source of his blessings. The king of Sodom, on the other hand, was no longer a king. His kingdom had been taken from him by force. As a man, he was clever and evil. He went down to ambush Abram, to rob him of the joy of God's grace and deliverance, to tempt him with the loot he had brought back. He ordered Abram to give him the people, for whom Abram could have demanded a ransom. He offered to let Abram keep the plunder, which would have made Abram the richest man in the world. His aim was to get Abram's eyes off the source and onto the possessions.

It is difficult to know whether kindness in human beings is ____ or learned.
Harlamova29_29 [7]
Answer A. Innate.

We do not know if it is a trait that all humans are born with (which would be innate), or if it's something that we develop as we grow older.

The other words wouldn't make sense in the place of innate.

Why did Daisy marry Tom? Question 10 options:
mariarad [96]

Answer:

3. She was eager to move on with her life, and did not want to wait for Gatsby.

Explanation:

F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby" tells the story of Jay Gatsby and his return to try to get his lost American dream- money and Daisy. Narrated by the protagonist's neighbor and daisy's cousin Nick Carraway, the story revolves around the lives of the wealthy in East Egg and the not-so-wealthy of west Egg.

Daisy Fay nee Buchanan was previously in love wit Jay Gatsby while he was in the army. With him gone overseas, she could not wait, "<em>She wanted her life shaped now, immediately— and the decision must be made by some force—of love, of  money, of unquestionable practicality</em>"(Chapter 8). So, when Tom Buchanan came, she immediately moved on, knowing he had the means to support her lifestyle. When Jordan Baker told Nick about Jay and Daisy (Chapter 4), she mentions that  she had received a letter from Jay, most probably asking her to rethink her decision to marry Tom. She had even got a 350,000 dollars pearl necklace, but she wasn't convinced. Later on, after she had freshened up and relaxed, she married Tom, as if nothing had happened at all.
