When comparing the direct write-off and allowance methods, which of the following statements applies to the allowance method? a.
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

c.The result is based on either a percentage of sales or an analysis of receivables

Explanation:

Generally, companies will choose between two approaches under the allowance method.

Percentage of Sales: Using historical data, a company examines the relationship between sales and uncollectible accounts receivable. If there is a fairly stable relationship between the two, a company will use the historical Uncollectible Accounts / Credit Sales ratio to estimate the bad debts expense in the current period.

This method is sometimes referred to as the income statement approach.

Percentage of Accounts Receivable: Using historical data, a company examines the relationship between accounts receivable and uncollectible accounts. Companies will oftentimes increase the accuracy of these estimates by looking at their aging schedule for patterns, rather than using a composite (or total) of their receivables

This method is sometimes referred to as the balance sheet approach

How did illegal smuggling affect the Portuguese empire? A. The Portuguese rulers profited from it B. It caused a war between Spa
ANEK [815]

The illegal smuggling caused economic hardship in the Portuguese empire. During the 8th and 9th Centuries, tobacco became the major product in the Portugal. Tobacco’s importance as a commercial product had in fact grown steadily after 1620, and by the early 1700s, the monopoly on its sale had become one of the country’s most precious sources of income.

Together with spices, tobacco became the principle item of exchange for products from the Far East and for slaves taken from the coast from the West Africa.

While training his dog, Mark first says the word "sit" and once the dog sits, he gives her a treat. Immediately after this, he s
TEA [102]

Answer:

A. The words "good dog"

Explanation:

In this case, we know that the primary reinforcer is the treat. The dog is gaining an immediate reward for doing what you wanted it to do. But even after it, you also praise the dog. This praise is the secondary reinforcement. The secondary reinforcement will allow the trainer to deliver reinforcement even if the dog is not hungry, which might cause problems if you only use the primary reinforcement.

1. Even if we reach that state where an Al can behave as a human does, how do we measure if Al is acting like a human? and how c
AVprozaik [17]

What is the Turingan Test?

The Turingan test used in artificial intelligence (A.I) seeks to measure the ability to enter into a conversation with a robot (i.e A.I) such that the conversation flows naturally without easy detection that it is happening with an artificial intelligence-powered machine.

What is the cognitive modelling approach?

This modelling approach envisions the ability of a robot (A.I) to reflect or think just as a human could do. Hence, we can base the human likeness on an A.I entity if this prerequisite is met.

What is the law of thought approach?

This approach consists of a large list of logical statements that direct how our minds should act or operate. When these laws are applied to artificial intelligence, the law of thought approach is used as a measure of checking the human-likeness of Al entity. In other words, this approach requires an A.I entity to act based on logical statements.

What is the rational agent approach?

The rational agent approach believes an A.I entity should be able to self determine the best possible course to take when given a set of circumstances.
