Auschwitz was the name given to the Nazi Death Camp in Southwestern Polan that became arguably the most notorious of all of the camps, killing approximately 1 million people from May 1940 to January 1945. This concentration camp was lead by the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Popularly known people like Anne Frank was a prisoner of this camp.
