Identical twins are produced from the same sperm and egg (which splits after the first mitotic division), whereas fraternal twin

s are produced from separate sperm and separate egg cells. If two parents, one with brown eyes (a dominant trait) and the other with blue eyes (the recessive trait) produce one twin boy with blue eyes, what is the probability that a fraternal twin will transmit the blue eye allele to his or her offspring

Answer:

This is 25%

Explanation:

Analysis, Since the dominant brown eyed parents produce blue eye child, this shows they are heterozygote dominant

However, this fraternal twin is not genetically identical, due to the blue eye color,(recessive) but the fact remain that they are the parents.(because he inherited the recessive allele from each of the parent)Therefore the probability is 25%.

This is because he is the only one out of the 4 kids( based on Mendelian fashion) this is 1/4,25%

Enzyme complexes that break down protein are called _____. lipases ubiquitins amylase proteasomes nucleases
Hitman42 [59]

Proteasomes are a large protein complex present in all eukaryotic cells that break down protein.

What are proteasomes?

It is considered one of the main pathways involved in the processes of enzymatic protein degradation.

It is the group of proteins that are associated forming large complexes, whose function is to digest cytoplasmic proteins, generating peptides.

Therefore, we can conclude that proteasomes is a large protein complex present in all eukaryotic cells that breaks down protein .

Sequence and model each step in the replication of a DNA
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

The sequence and model each step in the replication of a DNA

molecule are:

a) the DNA unzips

b) the nucleotides in the cell attach to the unzipped chains

How is DNA replicated?

The act of replicating one double-stranded DNA molecule into two additional ones is known as replication. One of a cell's most fundamental functions is the replication of its DNA. Opening the double helix and separating the DNA strands, priming the template strand, and putting together the new DNA segment are the three main phases in the replication process.

The DNA double helix uncoils its two strands at a site known as the origin during separation. The strands are subsequently primed, or made ready, for replication by a number of proteins and enzymes. The construction of the new DNA strands is then orchestrated by a unique enzyme known as DNA polymerase.

The other steps involved are:

c) the molecule continues to unzip, and the nucleotides continue to join

d) two new DNA molecules form, each containing one parental and one new strand.

What happens first when the amount of sunlight decreases?
dezoksy [38]
Light energy absorbed by chlorophyll is converted into chemical energy. Some of this energy is used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. Some of the chemical energy is used to make ATP from ADP and phosphate (Pi). This chemical energy is stored as ATP.
