Answer:
64

Explanation:
Step 1 - Simplify the parentheses

2^5 / 2^3 • (4 - 2)^4
2^5 / 2^3 • 2^4

Step 2 - Use this formula: a / b/c = a • c/b and simplify

2^5 / 2^3 • 2^4
2^5 • 1/2^3 • 2^4
32 • 1/8 • 16

Step 3 - Divide

32 • 1/8 • 16
32 • 1 • 16/ 8
512/8

Step 4 - Simplify

512/8

You want to use PEMDAS to solve this problem.
So we do the parentheses first (4-2) = 2
Then you would do the exponent next
2 to the 5th power is 32
2 to the 3rd power is 8
(2) to the 4th power is 16
32 / 8 • 16
Then we want to do Multiplication and division from what ever comes first so in this case 32/8, which will equal 4 then we multiple 4 with 16 making the answer 64

1. Consider drawing a single card from a well shuffled 52-card deck. Let E1 be an event of getting a heart card and E2 be an eve
Paraphin [41]
1) Find P(E1UE2)
E1 probability= 1/2
There are 26 red cards in a 52 card deck, so the probability of choosing a red card is = 26/52 = 1/2
E2 probability= 12/ 52 or 3/13
The face cards are: Jacks, Queens, and Kings. There are four suits, so in each suit there are one jack, one queen and one king. The probability is 3 x 4= 12 divided by the total number of cards.

2)the probability of drawing a blue ball on the first draw: 4 /10
the probability of drawing a white ball on the second drawn: 6/9 (because there is less one ball from the previous draw).
the probability of the cases together is 4/15 ( 4 /10 x 6/9) since they are independent cases.

7x - 20 = 2x - 3(3x + 2)
kirill [66]

Answer:

7x-20=2x-3(3x+2)

We move all terms to the left:

7x-20-(2x-3(3x+2))=0

We calculate terms in parentheses: -(2x-3(3x+2)), so:

2x-3(3x+2)

We multiply parentheses

2x-9x-6

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-7x-6

Back to the equation:

-(-7x-6)

We get rid of parentheses

7x+7x+6-20=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

14x-14=0

We move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right

14x=14

x=14/14

x=1
