Hello,
all you have to see is the coefficient of x²:
if positive: upward
if negative : downward

y=-3x²+4x ==> -3: downward

y=1-2x+6x² ==>6 : upward

y+x²=-x-2==>y=-x²-x-2 ==> -1: downward

y+2=x² ==>1: upward

y-2x²=-3==>y=2x²-3 ==> 2: upward

y+2+3x²=1==>y=-3x²-1 ==> -3: downward

Last year for 6 consecutive months, Sam recorded the total number of miles for each month. These miles were: 1,086, 997, 1,534,
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

The median number of miles that Sam drove during those months is 1044 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

The median separates the upper half from the lower half of a set. So 50% of the values in a data set lie at or below the median, and 50% lie at or above the median.

For a set of n values

First we order the values in an increasing way.

If n is odd, the median is the value at the position (n+1)/2

If n is even, the median is the average of the values at the positions n/2 and (n/2) + 1

In this problem:

6 values

Ordered in an increasing way:

880, 997, 1002, 1086, 1534, 1637

6 is an even value.

6/2 = 3. The third element is 1002

6/2 + 1 = 4. The fourth element is 1086.

Average: (1002 + 1086)/2 = 1044

The median number of miles that Sam drove during those months is 1044 miles

The cost (in dollars) of a custom made sweatshirt is represented by 3.5n +29.99, where n is the number of different colors in th
juin [17]

Answer:

52.5n+449.85

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost is given for 1 sweatshirt. To find the cost of 15 sweatshirts, we need to multiply the expression by 15. Let's do this:

15(3.5n+29.99)\\=15(3.5n+29.99)\\=15(3.5n)+15(29.99)\\=52.5n+449.85

This is the expression that represents the cost of 15 sweatshirts.

Which equation shows the inverse property of multiplication? 4 + (-4) = 0 -8 + (-3) = -3 + (-8) mc010-1.jpg mc010-2.jpg
Igoryamba
Answer: 2 x (1/2) = 1
The two numbers are inverses of each other multiplicative. Or, you could say that they are both inverses of each other. Choices A and B both show additive inverses so those can't be it. And the last shows identity.

Hope this helps :)
