Use drapes to cover the carts when you're transporting them to Sterile Processing, there should be a Biohazard sign posted whenever transporting contaminated equipment/instruments to Sterile Processing as well. Spray all used instruments before transporting with a foam enzymatic so that instruments stay moist.
If you are alone and didn't see the person collapse, perform five cycles of compressions and breaths on the person — this should take about two minutes — before calling 911 or your local emergency number and getting the AED, if one is available.
