The process by which intracellular vesicles in the cytoplasm fussed  with plasma membrane,to empty  the content of the vesicle into the extracellular environments is called exocytosis.

Generally this process can take place at all time,where is refers to as Constructive,or due to response to external signals from the extracellular environment, Regulated.

The  Exocytic vesicles of  this process are produced in the Endoplasmic Reticulum  and Golgi apparatus.

The fusion of the vesicles  to the plasma membrane(docking)involved energy and a specific adapter molecules between the plasma membrane and the vesicles. This ensures that the vesicles fused with the targeted  membrane.The fusion  of the adapters  leads to release of ATPs,and the  formation of fusion pore to channel the content to the external cells or organelles.

The vesicles may become parts of the plasma membrane ot be recycled.
