How did the Inuit adapt to their climate? Select all that apply. built longhouses from wood harvested in forests dug irrigation
dalvyx [7]
Inuit people did not build long houses from wood harvested in forest but make warm homes out of snow and ice for the winter and during summer they make homes from animal skin overextended over a frame made from drifted wood or whalebones. They were unable to farm and grow their own food but mostly lived off meat from hunting animals like seals, walruses and the bowhead whale. Their means of transportation on land and ice is dogsleds called qamutik and on water they used small single passenger boat called kayaks. Their defense is commonly hunting tools which is for dual purpose as a weapon whether against other Inuit people group or against their traditional enemies and for hunting animals. So the answer is used kayaks and dog sleds for transport and hunted seal and other sea mammals.
