In Night, the rising action is when Elie and his family are put on the train to Auschwitz. Once the family is on the train, they are herded together like animals. This is the beginning of the nightmare Elie is about to face. This is the point where everything changes. Elie doesn't realize it now, but his life will never be the same again. Elie will be faced with the most despicable of human actions. Elie will face his own mortality and that of his father's. Elie will begin to ask questions about his faith and have it tested beyond limits.

How can. Context change the meaning of a word
GrogVix [38]
Because verbal context effects (when they do occur) are presumed to result from a change of meaning, the broader role of word meaning in recognition was examined. ... It is likely that word meaning is encoded during study of lists of words but is infrequently used in making recognition decisions.

What does this mean? "We are all the same in so many different ways."
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

Exactly what it says. We are all the same, in different ways

Explanation:

Like, we are all the same species. Right? Human. We all have human nature, instincts, and we all have eyes, ear, and noses (unless you've lost some, unfortunately. But you were most likely born with them!) But we have different temperaments, attitudes, opinions, and we look different. We talk different. But it's in our nature to look for friends, to want to be liked by others, and to be happy in general. But depending on how we were raised, our morals fluctuate and we change and are shaped by what goes on around us. But at our base, we're human. We have different cultures, but we each have culture (if that makes sense.) We have different versions of the same things. For example, every country has their own form of bread. It may be a tortilla, or pasta, or whatever, but it's bread. The same, but different in many ways.

(Hope that helps and made sense!)
