Find the measure of <2

Mathematics

Thats a rhombus so the sides are congruent therefore <2=<4 and the hypotenuse bisects making <2=<3 .
now 2 ways i can think of solving it first a triangle is 180 so 180-104= 76 to get remaining degree of the triangle and since <2=<4, 76 can be divide by 2 so thise two angles can still be congruent, therefore answer is 38.

another way is to find consecutive angle, same as above 180-104=76 but now we use <2=<3 the consecutive angle is where the hypotenuse bisects so to find <2 divide 76 by 2 and answer is 38.

in fact angle of 1 2 3 4 are all 38

<2 = 38
An iscolese triangle adds to 180 degrees. Thus, the two base angles, which is <2 & <3 should be half of the result from 180 - 104.

180 - 104 (angles in a triangle add to 180 degrees)
= 76
76 / 2 (iscolese triangle. base angles are equal)
therefore, 38

Find the equation of the line that and I [] is perpendicular to the line y = 3x - 1 passes through the point (7,4).
Minchanka [31]

The equation of the line that goes through the point (7,4) and is perpendicular to the line y = 3x - 1 is y = -1/3 x + 7.

What is a slope?

The slope of a line is found by dividing the "vertical change" by the "horizontal change" between (any) two distinct places on the line. The ratio is sometimes stated as a quotient ("rise over run"), yielding the same value each time.

Given,

The line L₁ equation: y = 3x - 1

Line L intersects the point (x₁, y₁) = (7,4)

To determine the equation of line L.

The equation of a line whose slope and point of intersection are known is given by:

y-y₁ = m (x - x₁)

Where m is the slope of the line and (x₁, y₁) is the point it passes through.

Let L be our needed line.

We've been told that (x₁, y₁) = (7,4).

We also know that the line L is perpendicular to another line L₁, whose equation is:

y = 3x - 1

As a result, the slope of line L₁ is m₁ = 3.

= -1 3m = -1/3 m = -1/3

As a result, the equation for the required line is: y - y₁= m (x - x₁)

y-4 = -1/3(x-7)

3(y - 4) = -(x - 7)

3y-14 =7-x

3y = 14 + 7 - x

3y = - x + 21

y = -1/3 x + 7.

This is the required line equation.

A recipe requires 1/4 lb of onions to make 3 servings of soup. Mark has 1 1/2 lb of onions. How many servings can Mark make?
Oxana [17]
⓵ You have to do a cross product in order to find your answer :

1/4 lb → 3 servings
1 ½ lb → × servings

(3 x 1 ½) ÷ 1/4 = (3 x 1,5) ÷ 0,25

⓶ Now you need to solve the equation :

(3 x 1,5) ÷ 0,25

↓

(4,5) ÷ 0,25

↓

4,5 ÷ 0,25 = 18

Which means that your final answer is that Mark can make 18 servings with 1 ½ lb of onions!

I hope this helped! ☻

What is the common difference for this arithmetic sequence?
31, 48, 65, 82, ...
sergejj [24]

Answer:

d = 17

Step-by-step explanation:

The given arithmetic sequence is :

31, 48, 65, 82, ...

We need to find the common difference for this sequence.

First term, a₁ = 31

Second term, a₂ = 48

Common difference = a₂-a₁

= 48-31

= 17

So, the common difference for this arithmetic sequence is equal to 17.
