Why did China export so much during the 15th century?

History

Eventually the Europeans, for reasons of their own, became reluctant to continue shipping so much silver to East Asia. This is largely because they preferred to hoard the silver so that they could use it to pay mercenaries in their ongoing wars. They started looking for something else to export to China and found that they were in a real bind because there were very few things that they produce more efficiently than the Chinese could. The thing that eventually filled the gap left when the Europeans tried to cut back on their silver shipments was opium.

Opium served a whole series of functions for the British in particular. It helped make their new colony in India profitable by providing a very ready revenue source. It saved on the silver that they no longer wanted to ship and, of course, the story of the opium trade to China then gets us into a whole different period of world history and different kinds of links between China and the outside world.

The First Great Awakening of the 1730s and 1740s was primarily a A movement to increase colonial loyalty to the British monarchy
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

B revival of evangelical religion that spread through the colonies.

Explanation:

Over the years, new generations have lost the vision and religious fervor of the pioneers. The growing economic prosperity and intellectual advancement resulted in a progressive numbness of the spiritual life. In the midst of this state of affairs, many people began to pray for a revitalization of the churches and their members. It was common for preachers to mourn the decline of spirituality and to urge their faithful to pray for revival. These aspirations began to be met outside New England, in the central colonies. This generated a deep need to bring the faithful back to religious life, leading preachers and priests to preach fervently. Thus was born the First Great Awakening, a period of high religious activity, mainly in the United Kingdom and in the colonies of North America.
