This statement is true.

When working out, you should always rise and lower weights with slow and controlled motions. It is to maximize the benefits of lifting and to prevent injury.

As for the benefits: Slow lifts can build muscles much faster than regular or fast ones. Rising or lowering the lifts in a slow motion forces the muscles to hold the weight longer. The particular muscle involved in the move stays activated longer. If one goes fast on lifting for example, momentum will do a lot of work which shortens the activity of the muscles. And the more a muscles works/is activated, the bigger it grows and the more it shows on the body. The goal is to fatigue the muscles before they fail. Muscle fatigue is a very good sign in building a muscle mass as the damaged muscles instigate greater growth. Finally, lifting/lowering slowly activates the skeletal muscles, they use a lot of energy and one burns more calories while using them.

Fewer accidents happen with slow lifting/lowering as one focuses on correct form and proper execution of each move; fast, uncontrolled moves can cause many injuries.

poizon [28]

Answer:

Understanding self and others

Explanation:

Liz damages Nicole's cherished possessions because she does not treat them with respect. Rather than telling Nicole the truth and giving her the opportunity to repair or salvage the damaged tea set, Liz lies to Nicole and discards her heirlooms, incorrectly believing that a more expensive tea set is better. When Liz tries to give Nicole the new tea set Nicole didn't accept it. Liz then thought Nicole was being ungrateful. However for Nicole, the real value of the tea set was the history attached to it not its material worth. Not only did Liz not understand Nicole she didn't understand herself because she doesn't understand how rude and disrespectful she's really being. She thinks Nicole is being disrespectful but she's the disrespectful one by not telling Nicole the truth and ruining her possessions.

icang [17]

Answer: In _______________ by_____ The main conflict appears to be weithere or not the kids are in the presence of alien life. The protagonist faces the issue of her seeing something that nobody else has, and this leads to the antagonists perspective, of not really believeing her. This bothers the protagonist, and she becomes obsessive over the topic. When the protagonist states "I spent the last six years waiting and researching. If we don't see the light, I'll admit I'm wrong. But if it happens again, with all of us here, it'll prove the alien is in this room." that really puts her obsession in the light. The antagonists reveal their lack of belief through them saying things like "and you're sure?". " you expect us to wait here all night" and the antagonists constantly getting destracted with romantic gossip.
